Looking for a little adventure? Head to Satan’s Kingdom for a 2.5 mile tube ride down the Farmington River. Along with calm waters, more leisurely than wild, the course features three sections of Class I, II, and III whitewater rapids as you float through the narrow river gorge. The level of adventure heavily depends on river levels and recent rainfall.

Tubing is the main draw, but the park offers some short hiking trails and neighbors Nepaug State Forest, where you’ll find even more options, including the Tunxis Trail. Don’t forget your sunscreen!
