Salmon River State Forest offers opportunities to hike through forests, including the 6.7-mile blue-blazed Salmon River Trail, and bike along the Air Line State Park Trail. Enjoy a day of fishing and a picnic along the Salmon River or walk through one of Connecticut's historical covered bridges. 

With nearly 7,000 acres sprawling across the towns of Hebron, Marlborough, Colchester, East Haddam, and East Hampton, Salmon River State Forest is a wonderland of adventure, solitude, nature, and recreation.
