Located in the Housatonic River Valley amid the rugged hills of the northwestern uplands, Housatonic Meadows State Park is an ideal setting for a variety of outdoor recreational activities. A two-mile stretch of river (including the park shore) is limited to fly fishing only.

2026 Season: Opens Friday, May 22 and closes Monday, September 7 at noon 
2027 Season: Opens Friday, May 28 and closes Monday, September 6 at noon. Cabins are available on Fridays and Saturdays only.

  • Daily Rate:  $17 resident/$27 non-resident plus processing fee
  • Wooded sites with picnic table, fire ring, and grate
  • Six-person maximum per site
  • Maximum stay: 14 days

Four Rustic Cabins

  • Daily Rate:  $50 resident/$60 non-resident – plus processing fee, 15% occupancy tax, and refundable $50 security deposit 
  • Two-room cabins with double bed and two bunk beds 
  • Comfortably sleeps four people with space for up to six
  • Available to reserve Fridays & Saturdays
  • Two-night minimum required

AMENITIES

  • Bathhouses with hot showers, dishwashing, and potable water 
  • Firewood available on site
