Haddam Island State Park

Haddam, CT

Paddle out to this undeveloped 14-acre island in the lower Connecticut River and you can have your own private oasis for the day. Soak up the sun and explore the island’s small sandy beach, perfect for swimming, fishing, and picnicking. One of the few boat-access-only parks in the system, the island is a slice of solitude and a spectacular spot for birdwatching, especially during migration.
