Can you imagine a volcanically active Connecticut? We can! Join our Connecticut Traveling Environmental Educators (CTEEs) for a hike up Talcott Mountain to explore Connecticut geology in the Central Valley. Participants will walk the yellow trail (2.5 mile out-and-back trail of moderate difficulty) to enjoy the views of the mountain while discovering the geologic processes and events that led to its formation. The program will start at the Talcott Mountain parking lot and end at the Heublein Tower at the top of the mountain. Participants will be responsible for leading themselves back down the trail after the guided portion of the hike. All ages are welcome!
