The next in the Dinosaur State Park speaker series arrives on October 10th, 2026! This time we welcome Professors Peter Drzeweicki and Drew Hyatt from Eastern Connecticut State University.
Their talk, entitled, “3-D Mapping and Geological Interpretation of Tracks at Dinosaur State Park, Rocky Hill, Connecticut,” will focus on new approaches to mapping/modelling the tracksite at Dinosaur State Park in sub-mm detail, and how these new maps have been used by scientists to better understand this ancient environment and the animals that once walked here 200 million years ago.
The talk is included with the admission fee to the main exhibit center, and will take place in the auditorium at 2:30PM on Saturday, October 10, 2026. Please note that this presentation is geared more toward adults than younger visitors, though it is accessible to all education levels.
The talk begins at 2:30 pm, and lasts until approximately 3:00. There will be time for questions at the end.
