Owls of Connecticut

Who is that in your backyard?  There is a diversity of owls living year-round or seasonally in the woods, edges, and coastlines of Connecticut. Join us at noon on September 15th at the Kellogg Environmental Center, 500 Hawthorn Ave., Derby, to learn about the needs and lives of our favorite nocturnal birds. Sounds, biology and habitat improvements are part of the program.  Not to mention everyone will be able to take part in an owl pellet dissection.  Mounts and images are being used for this program.  Open to all ages and free.  Registration is required and can be done by emailing maxwell.henning@ct.gov or calling the Kellogg Environmental Center, 203-734-2513.
