Governor's Island - History Hike!

Join interpretive staff for a hike out to Governor's Island! Enjoy the views of scenic Pine Acres Pond while learning about its history and significance in James Goodwin's forest management practices. The 1.7 mile hike will bring us to Governor's Island, a 4-acre landmass with lots of history to discover; from colonial times to present day. Meet at the pavilion across the street from the museum before heading out on the hike. Be sure to dress appropriately for outdoor activity and bring water!
Total distance ~3.5 miles following the blue and white trail around the side of the pond. The trail is flat with some rocks and roots along the way.
Program to begin at 9:30 and will last 1.5-2 hours.
