Amphibians and reptiles are valuable critters to Connecticut’s ecosystems. Join guest presenter, Dennis Quinn, as he shares with us the crucial roles amphibians and reptiles play in the environment, why their populations are experiencing decline, and how we can overcome their conservation challenges together! Free and open to all ages!
Dennis P. Quinn is the owner and principal herpetologist at Quinn Ecological, LLC, an environmental consulting company that promotes species conservation through research-based land use planning. He earned an M.A. in Environmental Science from Central Connecticut State University. He has over 20 years of experience studying amphibians and reptiles in the northeastern U.S. Since 2012, Dennis has contracted with the Wildlife Management Institute to conduct and coordinate State and regional research and conservation initiatives for the CTDEEP. He is a co-author of the recently published book Conservation of Amphibians and Reptiles in Connecticut. Dennis serves as an adjunct faculty member at Central Connecticut State University where he teaches a course in Herpetology and works with graduate students in the field of Herpetology. Dennis is also an avid wildlife photographer with nationally and internationally published works.
